It's official, TK won the election for County Commissioner by 64 percent. There will be no runoff. With no Democratic opponent to face in November, he's done. TK will take office next January. Our hard work has paid off.
Kathy and I drove around this morning and picked up the campaign signs we'd littered the roadsides with over the last couple of weeks.
The depressing part is so few people exercised their right to vote. TK's 64 percent win was accomplished by just 1200 voters in his district which is roughly one third of the county. I don't know how many registered voters there are in the district, but the local paper described the turnout as light, under 20 percent of the registered voters.
