Mother's day has passed, Father's Day will happen soon, and after that, I will have another birthday.
Assuming, of course that the Last Judgement Day doesn't occur on May 21st as some folk apparently believe.
Kathy and I discussed that possibility over coffee this morning. Then I asked her what she planned to give me for Father's Day. Just in case.
She said she was having difficulty deciding.
We don't do extravagance, and we generally buy the things we need when we need them.
Kathy said maybe a shirt or two. After some reflection, she said we should really be thankful for all the things we do have.
I laughed and responded that I was also thankful for some things we don't have.
